Spa Escape suggests that you arrive at least 15 minutes early for your appointment. If this is your first visit to the Spa there will be a detailed reception questionnaire to provide us with some medical and contact information, you will need to fill in prior to your appointment. Additionally, a tour of the Spa may be necessary to introduce you to all of the Spa's facilities. If you are late for your appointment, your treatment time may need to be shortened since the treatment room and the therapist is usually booked after your session.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you need to cancel your appointment, please give the spa as much notice as possible. 24 hours notice is minimum or your credit card will be charged a 35% service fee. All no-shows will be charged the 100% fee for the service.

What Should I wear to the Spa?

We suggest you dress in very casual attire for your treatment at the spa. Something loose fitting that can be easily put away in small lockers. Please leave your jewelry and other valuables at home as Spa Escape cannot be held responsible. Robes and slippers are provided for all guests.

What should I wear during my actual treatment?

It is never required that you are unclothed in front of anyone at Spa Escape. We have private changing areas available. Our therapists are well trained in the art of "Draping", they leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the treatment table, and they will keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body they are treating. The also leave the room while you get up from the table and redress in your robe. Body treatments administered in the Vichy, disposable undergarments will be supplied by the Spa to wear if requested by the guest. The Spa is mindful of all guest modesty and privacy, plenty of towels, robes and slippers are provided to all guests.

What does my therapist need to know about me?

All aspects of treatment can usually be modified to your taste. Your therapist will appreciate knowing how gentle or firm to touch you. Also, let them know if you are comfortable with the temperature in the room. Feel free to ask any questions, especially if you have any medical conditions you would like addressed or avoided. Make sure you let the therapist know if you are wearing contact lenses. If any part of your experience is unsatisfactory, address it with your therapist first, if the response is not helpful, speak to a supervisor.

Should I shave prior to my treatment?

If you must shave, do so at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Especially if you are a man receiving a facial or a woman receiving any kind of body treatment.

What if I want to give my therapist a gratutity?

Spa Escape does not include the gratutity in the price of the service. We encourage gratutity based on the quality of service you received, our goal is to always exceed your expectations in which case 15-20% would be customary. Of course you may leave less if desired. The easiest way is to leave a tip is at the reception desk when you pay rather than giving it directly to the therapist. You can leave it on a credit card or we have small envelopes at the front desk where you can write your name and the name of your therapist on and leave in our gratutity box located near the front desk.

Should I bring my cell phone with me?

The Spa Escape environment is a tranquil and stress-reducing experience for all of our guests. We ask that you leave your cell phones, pagers, blackberrys, and any other electronic devices at home or turn them off completely while in the Spa. We do not suggest taking them with you in your robe pocket as often times valuables such as this are accidently left and run the risk of being damaged in the laundry. Unfortunately, the spa cannot be held responsible for such incidents.

Is there a minimum age requirement to receive treatment?

Spa Escape asks children coming for treatment be at least 14 years of age. However, any minor under the age of 18, requires a parent or guardian signature prior to treatment.

What kind of atmosphere can I expect at the spa?

The atmosphere at the spa is tranquil and stress free. We ask wherever you are in the spa you be respectful of others and keep conversations at a low volume.
